Lancaster Theological Seminary (MWS)
Franklin and Marshall College (628 College Avenue)
On June 6, 1787, amidst a crowd of distinguished faculty, founders, and trustees, the institution that would one day become Franklin & Marshall College was born. With a contribution of 200 English pounds from Benjamin Franklin, then the President of the Supreme Executive Council of Pennsylvania, the college bearing solely his name was officially dedicated with the belief that it would become a major intellectual force in American higher education.
Lancaster Theological Seminary (555 West James Street)
Lancaster Theological Seminary was founded in 1825 by members of the German Reformed Church in the United States to provide theological education for prospective clergy and other church leaders.
The New School (935 Columbia Avenue)
Inspired by the vision of Dr. Maria Montessori and driven by our commitment to the whole child, The New School of Lancaster has served children and their families since 1990. Our school seeks to provide a diverse community where children can pursue the interdisciplinary achievement of academic, physical and spiritual health.
